Schneider calls it a career
by CBS Sports Staff |

Brian Schneider announced on Tuesday that he was retiring from baseball. The backstop compiled a career .247 average in 13 years in the majors while hitting 67 home runs with 387 RBI. “It hasn’t been an easy decision, but there are a lot of factors,” Schneider told The Morning Call. “You don’t want to retire, but you think of your family and I think more than anything it’s physically how you feel."
