Angels' Tyler Skaggs: Takes no-decision Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Skaggs didn't factor into the decision Sunday in Houston, allowing four earned runs on six hits while walking two and striking out three. The Angels won 7-5.

Thanks to another no-decision, Skaggs' record for the season sits at a dismal 2-6 through 15 starts. The 26-year-old's WHIP (1.38) and ERA (4.48) are right in line with his career marks of 1.34 and 4.53, though, so owners shouldn't be shocked by his performance this year. He'll toe the rubber one last time in 2017 on Friday against the visiting Mariners.

Angels' Justin Upton: Continues September power surge Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Upton went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo homers Saturday against the Astros.

Upton smashed his 33rd and 34th homers to tally the only runs for the Angels in a road defeat. He's crushed six homers over his last 10 games, and he's been an outstanding fantasy option at the most important time of the season.

Angels' Bud Norris: Pitches well in losing effort Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Norris (2-6) allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out two over 3.1 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Astros.

Norris was called from the bullpen to make the start in this contest and although he was quite effective, the Angels were unable to provide enough early run support to take him off the hook for the loss. He'll be expected to have another short outing when he makes his last start of the season Thursday against the White Sox.

Angels' Martin Maldonado: Not starting Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Maldonado is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros, according to Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.

Maldonado will get just his second day off of the month Saturday with the Angels playing an early afternoon affair following Friday's night game. Juan Graterol will get the start behind the plate in Maldonado's place.

Angels' Garrett Richards: Spins six scoreless in no-decision
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Richards pitched six scoreless innings with just a single hit and walk allowed while striking out six batters during Friday's loss to Houston. He didn't factor in the decision.

Richards has now allowed just four runs over 19.1 innings through four starts since returning from a five-month stint on the disabled list, and he now sports a 1.50 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 9.0 K/9 for the season. A road date with the White Sox projects to be Richards' final start of the regular season, which is a nice matchup to post another strong fantasy showing.
