Dodgers' Corey Seager: Out with stomach illness
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Seager has been removed from the lineup Saturday with a stomach illness, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Seager was scheduled to start at DH. Henry Ramos will start in his place. There are no reports suggesting that the illness is a particularly severe one, so expect the young shortstop to be back and ready to play sometime in the next few days. The Dodgers were easing him into spring action slowly anyway while he recovers from back and elbow injuries suffered last season, so missing a game or two won't set his timetable back much if at all.

Dodgers' Yasiel Puig: Back in Saturday's lineup
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Puig (hip) will play right field and bat cleanup in the Dodgers' split-squad contest against the Giants on Saturday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.

Puig was removed from Friday's lineup card due to hip soreness that was caused by his attempt to break in a new pair of cleats, but as expected, he won't miss any additional time moving forward.

Dodgers' J.T. Chargois: Claimed by Dodgers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Chargois (elbow) was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Friday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 27-year-old righty pitched 23 innings for the Twins back in 2016, putting up a 4.70 ERA and a low 17:12 K:BB. He missed almost the entirety of the 2017 season with a series of injuries, throwing just 2.2 innings for Triple-A Rochester. Even if healthy, he's unlikely to be anything more than organizational depth for the Dodgers.

Dodgers' Julio Urias: Placed on disabled list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urias (shoulder) was put on the 60-day disabled list Friday, Andy McCullough of The Los Angeles Times reports.

This was strictly a procedural move for the Dodgers as Urias is expected to remain sidelined for the first-half of the 2018 season due to shoulder surgery he underwent in June. In a corresponding move, the club claimed J.T. Chargois off waivers.

Dodgers' Zach Neal: To be stretched out as starter
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Neal will start the Dodgers' Cactus League game Saturday against Kansas City, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Neal will be stretched out as a starter after appearing exclusively out of the bullpen in six games for Oakland last year. The 29-year-old righty owns a career 4.89 ERA and a 10.7 percent strikeout rate in 84.2 major-league innings, so he's unlikely to be more than organizational depth for the Dodgers this season.
