Padres' Franchy Cordero: Hitless in rehab stint
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cordero (forearm) went 0-for-4 in a rehab start with Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

Cordero has gone 0-for-10 over three games on his current rehab assignment, but he has also drawn three walks and scored twice over that span. The Padres haven't stated how many rehab games they plan on giving their raw outfielder, but a strong game or two will likely accelerate his timetable. San Diego's outfield has become crowded in Cordero's wake, so there is no guarantee that a regular role will be awaiting him upon activation. That said, the 23-year-old has shown tremendous power and above-average speed during his brief time in the majors, so fantasy owners may to want prepare for a scenario where he ends up on the strong side of a platoon somewhere in the outfield once he is ready to return.

Padres' Wil Myers: Homers in rehab start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Myers (oblique) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's rehab start with Triple-A El Paso.

Sunday's homer was a promising sign for Myers' recovery process, The slugger began his rehab assignment Thursday, and has gone 3-for-12 with two extra-base hits and a pair of RBI in three starts. The Padres haven't announced a target return date for Myers, but his ramped up production bodes well for a return sooner rather than later. The veteran should reclaim a regular role in the outfield, likely pushing one of the club's young outfielders back to the minors.

Padres' Travis Jankowski: Swipes 11th base
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jankowski led off and went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 loss to Atlanta.

Jankowski's production has tailed off since the calendar turned to June, as he is slashing just .220/.304/.280 in 12 starts this month. The speedy outfielder has been able to offset his poor hitting with three steals over that span, bringing him up to 11 stolen bags in just 161 plate appearances this season. Jankowski's strong play last month propelled him to become the Padres' primary leadoff hitter against right-handed starters, but his ill-timed slump could threaten his playing time once Wil Myers (oblique) and Franchy Cordero (forearm) complete their respective rehab assignments.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Galvis went 2-for-4 Sunday in the loss to the Braves.

Galvis went 8-for-17 with four RBI, a double and a homer over San Diego's four-game weekend series. Through 74 games this season, he's hitting .246 with four homers, 28 RBI and a .668 OPS.

Padres' Matt Strahm: Puts together solid performance
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Strahm allowed no runs on one hit while striking out five across 2.2 innings Sunday against the Braves. He didn't factor into the decision.

Strahm certainly did his part, as he worked into the third inning while serving as an opener for Sunday's "bullpen day" in the series finale, although the Padres would ultimately lose 4-1. He sports a stellar 2.21 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 17 strikeouts across 20.1 innings this season.
