--RHP R.A. Dickey left his start Thursday because of pain in the bottom of his right heel and in his foot after stumbling while running to cover first base. He will be reevaluated Friday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Dickey lasted only 2 2/3 innings, allowing four hits, before the injury.
--CF Angel Pagan joined Class AAA Buffalo Thursday but the game was rained out in what was supposed to be the final step in his rehabilitation process as he recovers from a strained oblique muscle. Pagan is expected to join the Mets Friday in New York.
--SS Jose Reyes was 2-for-4 Thursday, adding to his major league-leading multi-hit games, now totaling 23.
--1B Ike Davis was unable to work out on the field for the second straight day in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and although he is eligible to return from the disabled list, he remains unable to move laterally at all with a sprained left ankle and a bone bruise in the ankle joint.
--3B David Wright received permission to begin workouts with a report saying that the stress fracture in his lower back is healing well. Wright was cleared to begin core exercises, but still will do no baseball activities.

2 2/3 -- R.A. Dickey was forced from the mound with a foot injury Thursday with two out in the third inning, marking the shortest start of his Mets career and the shortest he has had since August 20, 2008.
