LOOK: Minor league baseball teams honor Nick Diaz, Stipe Miocic with bobbleheads
The Lake County Captains and Stockton Ports are using the fighters for upcoming promotions
UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is starting to get pretty famous. With four straight knockout wins under his belt, the champ is starting to gain more and more star power. So it should come as no surprise that Miocic is getting his own bobblehead, but for a minor league team.
That's right, the Lake County Captains will be handing out Miocic bobbleheads on June 9, but it won't be Miocic as champion. Instead, it will be Miocic's other job: firefighter.
Not to be outdone, the Stockton Ports have their own UFC bobblehead night scheduled for later this year, and who else would they pick besides one of the Diaz brothers. You can get this Nick Diaz bobblehead in July.
Personally, I think the Miocic one is cooler since he's at least in a baseball jersey, but I'm sure members of the 209 area code will yell at me for that take. Though, Lake County did have a great reply to Stockton.
