UFC 213: Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko title fight set for July

UFC women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes is set to make her second title defense this summer. The 135-pound champion will defend her belt as part of UFC 213 in Las Vegas against top contender Valentina Shevchenko.

Nunes and Shevchenko have been on a collision course since Shevchenko beat Julianna Pena in January. The two met in the Octagon after the fight and knew the bout was imminent.

Nunes is coming off what she considers the easiest win of her career when she knocked out Ronda Rousey in the first round of their main event bout at UFC 207. She's won her last five fights in a row including a unanimous decision over Shevchenko in March 2016.

Meanwhile Shevchenko is coming off the win over Pena as well as a win over Holly Holm last July.

UFC 213 is set to be the crown jewel of International Fight Week and will have a co-main event of 135-pound champ Cody Garbrandt against T.J. Dillashaw as well as a welterweight showdown of Robbie Lawler vs. Donald Cerrone, heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem and lightweights Anthony Pettis and Jim Miller.
