2019 Pocono 400 DFS: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy NASCAR picks

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Pennsylvania this week for the 2019 Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway. It's a 2.5-mile triangular racetrack that routinely provides some of the most entertaining racing of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule and this year should be no different. Kyle Busch has claimed three checkered flags thus far in 2019 and is coming off a top-3 run at Charlotte, which is why he's the most expensive driver in NASCAR DFS tournaments and cash games this week on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr., who won last week at Charlotte, are also among the more expensive options on both sites. Before locking in your final NASCAR DFS picks, be sure to see the 2019 Pocono 400 NASCAR lineups and advice from DFS pro millionaire Mike McClure.

Last week in the Coca-Cola 600, McClure rostered Truex Jr. in his DraftKings lineup. The result: Truex captured victory at Charlotte, and anybody who rostered him was well their way to a huge day. Now he's turned his attention to Sunday's NASCAR at Pocono slate and locked in his optimal lineups.

For Sunday's 2019 Pocono 400, we can tell you McClure is banking on Denny Hamlin at $13,000 on FanDuel and $9,300 on DraftKings.

Hamlin is no stranger to success at Pocono. He's won four times at this track in his career, including a two-race sweep in his rookie season in 2006. His success at this track has been more up-and-down recently, but he did have a top-10 finish last July, his third in his last five Pocono runs. Hamlin has also run well with this week's racing package, which was in use at Texas when he won there this year, so he's a NASCAR DFS value pick you should be all over on Sunday.

McClure's optimal NASCAR DFS strategy also involves rostering Brad Keselowski at $13,500 on FanDuel and $10,200 on DraftKings.

Keselowski has been red-hot this season, claiming the checkered flag at Atlanta, Martinsville and Kansas. He currently sits in fifth place in the NASCAR standings and he'll enter Sunday's race full of confidence thanks to the massive success he's experienced at Pocono throughout his career. He won there in 2011 and has recorded a top-5 finish in five of his last six runs.

McClure is also targeting a value driver with a strong track record at Pocono. He's in prime position to make a run at the checkered flag and comes at a price that won't break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing huge in your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
