Through the first nine races of the NASCAR Cup Series season, Martin Truex Jr. is the only driver to take two checkered flags. Ryan Blaney has posted a victory in each of his last five seasons, but has yet to win multiple times. Blaney gets the opportunity to accomplish that feat when he takes part in the 2021 GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday. The 27-year-old Blaney, who won at Atlanta in March and has posted six straight top-20 finishes, is looking to become the first driver to win this race in back-to-back seasons since Jeff Gordon in 2004 and 2005.

Blaney is listed at 10-1 in the latest 2021 GEICO 500 odds from William Hill Sportsbook, while Denny Hamlin is the 13-2 favorite. Reigning Cup Series champion Chase Elliott and Joey Logano also are 10-1, while Brad Keselowski rounds out the top five 2021 GEICO 500 contenders at 14-1. The race at Talladega Superspeedway is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET.  You'll want to check out the NASCAR at Talladega predictions from Micah Roberts, the legendary Vegas bookmaker who pioneered wagering on racing, before locking in any 2021 GEICO 500 picks.

Roberts is the nation's premier NASCAR betting expert, and his top pick won the first two races of the 2020 season. In the season-opening Daytona 500, he nailed Hamlin's win at 10-1 odds, and he hit Logano at 13-2 odds in the Pennzoil 400 a week later. He also nailed the victory by Hamlin in the Toyota 500 last May, even though he wasn't one of the top three favorites.

Roberts also enjoyed success the previous year, as his top four choices in each race during the 2019 NASCAR season returned a head-turning $3,400 to those who put down $50 on each. In the 2021 campaign, he has correctly predicted at least seven top-10 finishers in four of the last five races.

Anyone who has followed his picks is up huge year after year.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field and odds for Sunday's NASCAR at Talladega 2021 race. He's sharing his winner and leaderboard right here.

2021 GEICO 500 expert picks

One shocker: Roberts is fading Elliott, even though he's among the top 2021 GEICO 500 contenders at 10-1. In fact, Roberts says Elliott, who won this race in 2019, barely even cracks the top 20.

"He's just not someone I have in my large betting circle this week," Roberts told SportsLine. "Have to chop out some of the favorites, so I'm not big on him."

Another curveball: Roberts is high on Austin Dillon, who is listed at 25-1 in the latest NASCAR at Talladega odds. The 30-year-old native of North Carolina has finished 17th or better in seven of his nine starts this year and posted his third top-10 last weekend at Richmond. Dillon has been in the top 20 in nine of his 15 starts at Talladega, including four of his last five after a 12th-place in October.

"His RCR set-up makes him a contender for the victory on Sunday," Roberts told SportsLine. "His best finish at Talladega was third in 2016, and he finished sixth three years later."

How to make 2021 GEICO 500 predictions

Roberts is high on a huge long shot who can be trusted with the Superspeedway package "because he knows how the draft works." This driver is being underestimated by oddsmakers, and anyone who backs him could hit it big. You can only see who it is here.
