NASCAR is returning this weekend at Darlington Raceway with its first race since the coronavirus pandemic caused a pause in action back in March. The event kicks off quite the packed schedule for NASCAR, with seven races in 11 days across three series: Cup, Xfinity and Gander Truck.

Kyle Busch is preparing to take part in all seven races, He knows it won't be easy. The 2019 NASCAR Cup Series champion said as much in an interview with SiriusXM's Mad Dog Sports Radio:

"I'm running all of those. Every one of them that's scheduled, I'm in. It's going to be getting thrown to the wolves - that's for sure."

Busch did point out that despite the busy schedule, with no practice and qualifying all he has to do is get in the car and race.

"I feel as though it sounds labor intensive and heavy and man that's a lot but in my mind I'm like in my mind, I'm kinda like man, I don't know if it's really gonna be that bad," he said. "But I'll let you know when it's all said and done."

Busch also commented on how this race will be different than most due to the health protocols put in place. He described the testing that will be done, from a health screening to an antibody test.

"They're going through a vigorous process to make sure everybody stays safe and then they want everyone to stay isolated," he said.

Busch is allowed to compete in five lower series races a year and he plans to participate in the max that NASCAR allows. The 35-year-old has 96 Xfinity wins and 57 Truck wins, the most of all drivers in both series. He looks to continue his seven-race, two year win streak in the Truck Series.

Busch's May race schedule will include Darlington (Cup Series) on May 17, Darlington (XFINITY Series) on May 19 and Darlington (Cup Series) on May 20.

Then he moves to the Charlotte Motor Speedway where he will compete in the Cup Series, Coca-Cola 600 on May 24 and an Xfinity Series event on May 25. He will also compete in the Truck Series on May 26 and a Cup Series event on May 27, both in Charlotte.

Busch competed in four Cup Series races and one Truck race at the Vegas Motor Speedway and one Xfinity races at Phoenix Raceway this season before the coronavirus pandemic hit. He won the Truck race and came in third at the Xfinity event.
