NASCAR at Michigan 2018 Vegas picks and predictions: Fade Ryan Blaney, back Brad Keselowski in Consumers Energy 400

Denny Hamlin earned the pole for NASCAR at Michigan 2018 on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. The 2018 Consumers Energy 400 features a stacked field, with Kevin Harvick going off as the Vegas favorite at 11-5. Behind Harvick on the NASCAR at Michigan odds board is Kyle Busch, who's listed at 7-2. Hamlin is at 12-1, unchanged from the opener despite earning the pole. The June race winner, Clint Bowyer, is also 12-1. Before you make any Consumers Energy 400 picks, you need to see what Micah Roberts has to say. As a Vegas bookmaker, Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting. Now he hands out winners to his followers.
Roberts was all over Busch two weeks ago at Pocono, pointing to not only his 26 career starts at the track but also his motivation to win after a late bump from Harvick the week before. Busch rallied from the 28th position for the checkered flag.
Earlier this season, Roberts was all-in on Harvick at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 despite two other drivers having the same field-leading odds. The result: Harvick dominated, leading for 181 of 325 laps and cruising to victory by 2.69 seconds.
Also this season, Roberts was very high on Bowyer at the STP 500, a race in which he snapped his 190-race winless streak. And at the Food City 500, he said Busch "owned" Bristol and would come away with the win -- he rallied to finish .63 seconds ahead of Kyle Larson for the checkered flag.
In the 2017 playoffs, Roberts picked nine of 10 winners. That was no fluke: In 2016, he told readers to back Denny Hamlin at 15-1 in the Daytona 500. The result: Hamlin edged Truex for the checkered flag. Roberts also nailed Hamlin at 40-1 to win at Watkins Glen later that year.
Now, he has analyzed NASCAR at Michigan 2018 from every possible angle and locked in his picks. You can see his entire projected leaderboard at SportsLine.
We can tell you he's not picking Ryan Blaney, one of the top Vegas favorites at 10-1. In fact, Roberts says Blaney barely cracks the top 20.
"His best finish there was fourth in 2016, driving the No. 21 Ford," Roberts told SportsLine. Blaney was eighth in the first Michigan race this season after starting ninth. He has struggled mightily lately, finishing in the top 10 in just two of his last six starts. Roberts says there are far better values in a very talented 2018 NASCAR at Michigan field.
One driver Roberts is high on: Brad Keselowski, who is only getting 12-1 Consumers Energy 400 odds. He's calling for a top-five finish for the Michigan native.
"It's killing him that he has yet to win a Cup race on his home track," Roberts told SportsLine. "That's 18 races of frustration, and it's always the main topic he has to deal with each visit. He's been close when he had an elite car, the last time being 2016. He started second in June and finished sixth."
Instead, one of Roberts' top choices is a sizeable underdog who has showcased his skill at Michigan in the past. Vegas isn't giving him any credit, so anyone who backs this driver could hit it big. Roberts also has a massive triple-digit longshot in his top 10.
