NASCAR Pocono Organic 325 results: Kevin Harvick wins for first career victory at Pocono Raceway

NASCAR: Bluegreen Vacations Duels At DAYTONA
USATSI

For the first time in 39 career starts Kevin Harvick is a winner at the Pocono Raceway, as he took the checkered flag after leading the final 17 laps of the Pocono Organic 325. Harvick now has just two tracks that the NASCAR Cup Series makes a regular stop at that he has not won a race - the Roval at Charlotte Motorspeedway and Kentucky Motor Speedway. Harvick had finished second four times at Pocono, most recently in 2017.

Harvick held off Denny Hamlin - who he is now tied with for the Cup Series lead with three wins this season -- to hand the No. 11 car a second-place finish. Aric Almirola -- who led the most laps in this race finished third, for his third consecutive top-5 finish.

The top-20 finishers from today's race will be inverted for the starting grid for the second half of the NASCAR Cup Series doubleheader at Pocono Raceway, in the Pocono 350, meaning Harvick will start 20th, in the middle of the pack. Ryan Preece finished 20th and will start on the pole with Austin Dillon joining him on the front row.
