Ainge: Jared Sullinger did not meet Celtics' conditioning goals

Celtics president Danny Ainge had some harsh comments on Jared Sullinger's conditioning in an interview on 98.5 FM The Sports Hub in Boston on Thursday, per WEEI.com.

Sullinger said Wednesday that he takes full blame for suffering a season-ending stress fracture in his left foot, and he promises to get in better shape moving forward. Ainge noted Thursday that he has addressed the Sullinger's conditioning issues "many, many times," and was not impressed by the results this season.

"All of our players have met conditioning, body fat, goals set by trainers, and Jared has not met them," Ainge said.

Sullinger was lost for the season on Sunday due to the injury, though at this point he will not require corrective surgery. He averaged 14.4 points and 8.1 rebounds in 51 games while shooting 44.7 percent from the field.
