Andrei Kirilenko set to return Friday vs. Miami
Nets forward set to return from back injury in Brooklyn vs. Heat.
Andrei Kirilenko said he will play tomorrow vs. Miami. Not sure how many minutes, but says he's feeling good.— Andy Vasquez (@andy_vasquez) October 31, 2013
The Nets badly need Kirilenko back for bench scoring and defense. Without him the Cavs' perimeter attack shredded the Nets. They also need another forward to stretch the floor and get Paul Pierce some extra minutes on the bench.
The Nets are already dealing with bad ankle for Deron Williams, who had to leave the game in the third quarter Wednesday. For the money Prokhorov is paying for this team, they need to get healthy to make good on all the preseason hype.
The Nets face the Heat Friday, making Kirilenko's return all the more important. They don't want to wind up in an 0-2 hole to start off the biggest season in franchise history.
