Bobcats' Al Jefferson will play in Game 3 against the Heat Saturday
Charlotte Bobcats' big man Al Jefferson will play in Game 3 despite his foot injury that has left him hobbled in this series.
Al Jefferson apparently felt a rip in his foot early in the Game 1 loss to the Miami Heat and left the game. At the time, it was talked about as a strain in his left plantar fascia. The Charlotte Bobcats' big man came back into the game, but his effectiveness was much lower than when he started the game 4-of-4 from the field. He played through the pain in Game 2 in the Bobcats' loss but struggled to score efficiently and hobbled all over the floor.
This painful injury won't keep him from playing Game 3 in Charlotte though. Jefferson said he feels the same now as he did before he played in Game 2 and there are no questions he'll play Saturday night against the Heat.

Jefferson is tied for the leading scorer for the Bobcats through the first two games of this series. He's just 14-of-36 from the field since leaving Game 1 with the injury, but averaging 18.0 points on 45.0 percent shooting. He's also the leading rebounder with 23 rebounds through the first two games. The Bobcats are down 0-2 in the series.
