Bucks ownership didn't tell GM or coach they're interviewing Jason Kidd
GM John Hammond, coach Larry Drew unaware of Jason Kidd interviewing for a position in their organization.
So that's awkward.
One league source says Bucks' front office was not apprised of the plan for Kidd to be interviewed.— Ken Berger (@KBergCBS) June 29, 2014
Bucks new co-owner Mark Lasry is close with Kidd, serving at one time as his financial advisor.— Ken Berger (@KBergCBS) June 29, 2014
Kidd had a falling out with ownership after attempting a power play to acquire control of basketball operations over GM Billy King.
So it would appear that after Kidd was unsuccessful with the power play, which probably, you know, didn't sit well with Billy King and was awkward, he then contacted his friend Lasry, who had the Bucks' new ownership interview him. And then no one told either Bucks GM John Hammond or coach Larry Drew, neither of which have been fired. This just two days after the Bucks drafted who they think is the future of the franchise in Jabari Parker.
There's been no clarification as of yet on whether Kidd is interviewing for the GM or coach position in Milwaukee.
