Bulls' Tom Thibodeau fined $35,000 for public criticism of officials
Tom Thibodeau was critical of officiating following Game 3 and was fined for it.
Tom Thibodeau said LeBron James flopped. And he's the one who ended up getting fined.
“From my angle,” Thibodeau said, “I just saw a guy flop.”
"We're not going to get calls," Thibodeau said after Game 3. "That's reality."
"We're well aware of what's going on," Thibodeau said on Friday. "I'm watching how things are going. I watch very closely. What I'm seeing is …
"… We'll adjust accordingly."
The Bulls are known for their toughness and physicality, and have deployed that type of strategy on the Heat before, which led to LeBron complaining about "non-basketball plays" in the regular season.
Not that it's the best indicator of it, but in Game 3 the Heat took 30 free throws to Chicago's 25 -- and were called for only 20 fouls to Chicago's 30. The Heat have been called for fewer fouls and attempted more free throws in two of the three games.
Game 4 is Monday in Chicago.
