Celtics center Kelly Olynyk is doing some walking on his sprained right ankle and no longer wears a protective boot, CSNNE.com reports.

"It’s definitely progressing," Olynyk said. "It’s getting better, slowly but surely."

Olynyk has been sidelined since suffering the injury on Jan. 22. He's unlikely to suit up before the All-Star break with the Celtics playing just one game next week, but coach Brad Stevens didn't rule out the center playing in the Rising Stars Challenge.

"If he’s ready to play, that’s the trainer’s and Kelly’s call," Stevens said. "It’s an honor to be chosen, for those type of things. Obviously, there’s no way we’d want to do it unless he’s 100 percent healthy. But if he’s ready and healthy, that’s their call."

Olynyk has averaged 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 40 games.
