Celtics re-sign Kevin Garnett, Chris Wilcox, and Brandon Bass

The Celtics today announced three re-signings we've known about for some time now.

Kevin Garnett re-signed for what will likely be the last contract of his career, at three-years and $34 million. You can read more about Garnett's deal here. Lost in all the questions about Jeff Green's deal is the fact the Celtics are paying a 38-year old over $11 million a year. But Garnett was so good last season, you can see why they made the decision.

Chris Wilcox re-signed, coming back from heart surgery, but is expected to make a full recovery by training camp. He and Rajon Rondo had good chemistry before he was forced to leave the team.

The Celtics re-signed Brandon Bass in a sweetheart deal for three-years and $20 million. Bass took less than what he would have gotten on the open market to return to Boston, where he fit nicely on the team.

The Celtics also were set to introduce both Jason Terry and Jeff Green at a presser with Wilcox and Bass (Garnett big-timed the event), but ongoing tweaks to their contracts means the signings are delayed. Dallas had reportedly had talks with Boston about a sign-and-trade for Terry, but walked away recently.
