Clippers vs. Jazz: Utah's Rudy Gobert will reportedly miss Game 2 with knee injury

The Jazz were able to eke out a gritty Game 1 win against the Clippers on Saturday without their potential All-NBA center, but it's probably not something they'd like to get used to.

Utah will reportedly have to deal with Rudy Gobert's absence for at least one more game, however, as the Salt Lake Tribune's Tony Jones reports that the big man will be sidelined for Tuesday's Game 2. Jones also said that the Jazz will be careful with Gobert moving forward:

Gobert's status going forward will be determined game by game, The Tribune has learned. The Jazz big man is walking without crutches, which is encouraging. At the same time, healing the knee is expected to take some time.

Gobert hyperextended his knee just 11 seconds into Utah's 97-95 Game 1 win, and was forced to miss the rest of the game. The MRI afterward revealed no structural damage.

Derrick Favors, who scored 15 points and pulled down six rebounds in 32 minutes with Gobert out, is expected to make the start on Tuesday in Gobert's place.
