Watch Now: NBA Releases Schedule For Restart In Orlando (1:05)

Former NBA superstar Dwyane Wade will become the latest celebrity to participate in PBS Kids and Little Free Library's read-along initiative. Wade will read his wife Gabrielle Union's children's book, Welcome to the Party, in a live stream on PBS Kids Facebook and YouTube channels on Monday, June 29 at 12 p.m. ET.

Wade's reading will be part of a larger program designed to encourage reading and togetherness for families. Each celebrity that participates in the read-a-longs will also choose a location in the United States where a Little Free Library will be installed, complete with a supply of diverse books to make reading together more accessible across the country.

While the world continues to grapple with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, PBS Kids and Little Free Library's partnership aims to help families and children all over the world gain access to diverse stories and encourage a love of reading while school is out of session. According to PBS Kids and Little Free Library, the virtual storytimes will highlight books with diverse authors and characters, as well as bilingual readings.

Wade joins Camila Alves McConaughey, Tim Gunn, Carla Hall, Anthony Ramos, Marley Dias, Boris Kodjoe & Nicole Ari Parker, and Misty Copeland in the list of special guests to join the read-along program. PBS Kids and Little Free Library plan to add additional special guest readers throughout the summer.
