Eye on Basketball Podcast: Cramping your style

Matt Moore joins me from the sweat lodge that is San Antonio after a hot Game 1 victory by the San Antonio Spurs over the Miami Heat. While a cramping LeBron James seems to be the main talking point after the start of the 2014 NBA Finals, the incrdedibly hot conditions of the AT&T Center may be the biggest takeaway from what was a pretty phenomenal basketball game. Is there something that could or should be done about what happened with the air conditioning? How was this possible in 2014 to happen? Do the Spurs need a new arena?

As for the game itself, we saw some pretty great basketball along with some pretty sloppy basketball. Both teams had high turnovers and a lot of points off of those turnovers, but did the Spurs' ultimate beautiful brand of basketball erase their lead? Did it have more to do with LeBron not being able to finish the game? Did the Heat blow their chance at taking control of this series, considering they were up seven in the fourth on the road and couldn't close it out?

We discuss all of this, plus Flip Saunders coaching the Wolves, some NBA Draft possibilities, and much more.
