Eye on Basketball Podcast: Don't panic, Knicks; that comes later
Zach Harper and Matt Moore discuss whether or not the Knicks should panic, if the Houston Rockets should be worried, and preview tonight's games.
Matt Moore joins me today to figure out whether or not we should start worrying about the New York Knicks. After Sunday's embarrassing loss to the San Antonio Spurs, James Dolan had a concert and started guaranteeing victories for the Knicks. What's weird is this is a totally normal thing to happen to this franchise. Is the poor play a product of key players being out of the lineup or is there a systemic issue at hand? Is Mike Woodson going to be on the hot seat soon if they don't turn it around? Which general manager or coachcould turn it around for the the Knicks?
The Houston Rockets are off to a slow start but that's simply everybody getting used to Dwight Howard, right? Will their defense turn around once they get adjusted to playing with their new big man? Should the Cleveland Cavaliers be worried with their anemic offense and Andrew Bynum's health issues? What about the Brooklyn Nets and their putrid play so far? Do they need time to gel or are they just too old to be consistent?
We discuss all of this, plus help defense, intentionally missing free throws, and preview tonight's games.
