Eye on Basketball Podcast: Eye on the Playoffs and layoffs
Zach Harper and Matt Moore discuss Mitch Kupchak not consulting Kobe Bryant, subsidizing college players, and the current NBA playoff picture.
Matt Moore joins me on the podcast today to discuss the comments by Mitch Kupchak about the Kobe Bryant not being consulted on whether or not the Los Angeles Lakers keep Mike D'Antoni for next season. Is this the correct move by the Lakers? Is it likely they know Bryant's position on the matter anyway so it makes it unnecessary? Who could be the next coach for the Lakers and when should they get rid of D'Antoni?
The playoff picture is just as complicated as it was yesterday. The Indiana Pacers took control of their destiny to get the 1-seed over the Miami Heat but it will likely come down to Friday night's showdown between the two teams. The Charlotte Bobcats have taken over the 6-seed and given us a possible rematch grudgematch between the Heat and the Washington Wizards. We still have no idea what's going on at the end of the West playoff picture.
We discuss all of this, plus subsidizing college players, Taradise, and preview tonight's games.
