Eye on Basketball Podcast: Jimmer Fever, now available

Royce Young joins me today to discuss the Oklahoma City Thunder and the buyout of Jimmer Fredette. Before we get into the Thunder talk, we try to figure out if there is a spot in the NBA for a guy like Jimmer Fredette. He can shoot the lights out but he's short for an NBA shooter and he doesn't do a lot else out there. Can he be a Steve Kerr type in today's NBA? Would there be quite a few contenders that could use his 58.4 percent true shooting percentage this season?

Then we get into the Thunder talk. The team has struggled in their two games since Russell Westbrook returned. Has Westbrook played poorly? Is he detracting from Kevin Durant's game? Would people be questioning how vital he is to the Thunder if he hadn't taken that bad 3-pointer at the end of the loss to the Clippers? Will he work next to Reggie Jackson in the rotation like he did before? Should the Thunder look to add Jimmer?

We discuss this, plus Steven Adams' opportunity with Kendrick Perkins out, the Raymond Felton situation in New York, and pickup basketball reputations.
