Eye on Basketball Podcast: Sixers are good, Bulls are struggling
Zach Harper and Matt Moore discuss the hot start of the Sixers, the struggles of the Bulls and Nets, and preview tonight's games.
How about those scrappy Philadelphia 76ers? And those plucky Minnesota Timberwolves? Matt Moore joins me after about a week of NBA action to talk about our first impressions of those early season successes and the early season struggles of a few teams. The Sixers are 3-0 after beating the Miami Heat, Washington Wizards, and Chicago Bulls. What are we to make of this? Are teams just taking the Sixers lightly? Should we think maybe they're not all that bad? Are the Minnesota Timberwolves officially good or is the lack of concentration throughout a game tarnish their 3-0 record?
What about the struggling teams like the Chicago Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets? These teams were supposed to come in and establish their claim to the Eastern Conference throne right away. Instead, they almost appear lucky to have any wins between them. How bad has Derrick Rose been? Is Deron Williams equally as bad for the Nets? What happened to Kevin Garnett? And where is the Bulls' vaunted defense?
We discuss all of that, plus Matt's picks, Ray Liotta movies, and preview tonight's games.
