Hornets sign second-round pick Darius Miller

As if there was any doubt, Kentucky definitely won the 2012 NBA Draft.

The New Orleans Hornets announced Thursday they have signed second-round pick Darius Miller to a contract, making him the sixth Wildcat from last season's national title team to sign an NBA deal.

Miller, a 6-foot-8 forward, joins former Kentucky teammate Anthony Davis, who was taken No. 1 overall by the Hornets. The Hornets selected Miller with the 46th pick.

The lone senior on Kentucky's team that won the 2012 national championship, Miller was named the SEC Sixth Man of the Year. He has played in more games (152) than any player in Kentucky history.

But does Miller have a legitimate chance to make the team. Signs definitely point to yes. The team is thin at small forward. Al-Farouq Aminu is the only small forward on the roster and the Hornets only have 13 players under contract. So Miller could very well not only make the team, but be contributing next season as well.
