John Paxson: Bulls will match any offer on Jimmy Butler

Bulls vice president of basketball operations John Paxson said the team will match any offer on guard Jimmy Butler in the offseason, according to ESPN.com.

Butler is in the final year of his contract, but couldn't reach a deal with the team prior to the deadline. The 25-year-old has exploded this year, averaging 20.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Paxson said the team will match any offer sheet, even if it's a max offer.

Butler should draw a ton of interest during the offseason, and may even receive a max offer, but it's clear the Bulls don't want their budding star to get away that easily.
