The Hornets released a press release Wednesday morning, saying that Kemba Walker had undergone a second surgery on that same knee he tore his meniscus in last season. Via Hornets.com:

The Charlotte Hornets announced today that guard Kemba Walker underwent a successful minor arthroscopic procedure on his left knee. Typical recovery time for Walker's procedure is approximately six weeks.

The six-week timeline for his recovery will put him back on the court sometime in July, which is pretty routine for this type of injury.

However, with two injuries in the same knee in as many years it has to be concerning how often he's been playing hurt. Perhaps this is nothing more than just bad luck, but it's something to keep an eye on in the future.

Walker had his best season as a pro last season and made his first All-Star Game. Yet as the season came to a close he began to fall off due to what looked like exhaustion. He did miss a couple games due to injury so who knows how long he's been playing on a hurt knee.

Hopefully for Walker and the Hornets, this won't turn into any sort of long-term issue.
