Through 3 Quarters

Down one at the end of last quarter, the Memphis Grizzlies have now snagged the lead. They have unwrapped a big 91-77 lead against the Sacramento Kings after three quarters.

Small forward Desmond Bane has led the way so far for Memphis, as he has 24 points. Sacramento has been relying on the performance of shooting guard Tyrese Haliburton, who has 16 points and six assists along with five rebounds. A double-double would be Haliburton's fifth in a row.

the Kings have lost 89% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

What to Know

The Sacramento Kings haven't won a game against the Memphis Grizzlies since Feb. 28 of last year, but they'll be looking to end the drought Sunday. After a few days' rest for both teams, they will meet up at 6 p.m. ET Dec. 26 at Golden 1 Center. The Kings are out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.

Sacramento received a tough blow this past Wednesday as they fell 105-89 to the Los Angeles Clippers. A silver lining for Sacramento was the play of shooting guard Tyrese Haliburton, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 dimes.

Meanwhile, Memphis came up short against the Golden State Warriors this past Thursday, falling 113-104. Point guard Ja Morant (21 points), power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (20 points), and shooting guard De'Anthony Melton (20 points) were the top scorers for the Grizz.

Sacramento is expected to lose this next one by 3. Now might not be the best time to take Sacramento against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
