LOOK: Charlotte Hornets will host Nickelodeon-themed '90s night
Kel Mitchel from 'Keenan & Kel' is co-hosting a Nickelodeon-themed '90s night at an upcoming Charlotte Hornets game.
Perhaps in an ode to when team owner Michael Jordan ruled the basketball world, the Charlotte Hornets will be hosting a Nickelodeon-themed '90s night against the Phoenix Suns on March 1.
The Brooklyn Nets held a similar promotion earlier in the season, but Charlotte is not copying their Eastern Conference opponents, they are doing one better by having Kel Mitchel from the Keenan & Kel host the night's festivities.
From the Hornets:
Time Warner Cable Arena will flash back to your favorite and most memorable moments of your childhood. Nickelodeon and your Hornets are partnering to bring fans a one-of-a-kind ‘90s experience, featuring music, dunks and, of course, Slime! If you love orange soda and green slime, and grew up on Nickelodeon hit shows like All That, Keenan & Kel, Double Dare, Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, Legends of the Hidden Temple or Hey Arnold, you won’t want to miss this experience.
Plus, Nickelodeon hosts Kel Mitchell and Jeff Sutphen will be there for this one-night-only experience! Fans can also expect pre-game photo opps, costume characters, giveaways and a Double Dare halftime show!
With Charlotte's roster made up of players born in the '80s and '90s, the Hornets should get a real kick out of this themed night, especially if they get to take some Instagrams with Kel after the game.
