Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball made plenty of headlines for deciding not to sign with a traditional apparel company like Nike or Adidas, instead going with his father LaVar's company, Big Baller Brand.
The company famously released the $495 ZO2, Lonzo's signature shoe, earlier this year. So it was somewhat surprising to see that Lonzo elected to wear a different brand for this third summer league game against the 76ers on Wednesday. Lonzo showed up to the court and began the game wearing Nikes.

Maybe after shooting 2 of 16 on 3-pointers in his first two games, Lonzo was trying to channel his inner Kobe Bryant by wearing the Mamba's shoes.
LaVar Ball said earlier this year that Big Baller Brand was "a step above" companies like Nike, Adidas and Under Armour, so it was interesting to see Lonzo wearing a rival brand in Las Vegas. Lonzo wore the ZO2s in his first two summer league games before sitting out the Lakers' previous game (and a potential rematch with DeAaron Fox) with a groin injury.
