LOOK: Twitter unleashes absolute fury on LaVar, Lonzo Ball's new $495 sneakers
This was the day that basketball Twitter was waiting for

Sports Twitter might not recover from Thursday, May 4, 2017.
This is the day former UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball and his outspoken father LaVar released Lonzo's new, signature $495 sneakers under the Big Baller Brand, eschewing traditional companies like Nike, Adidas and Under Armour (who reportedly weren't interested in a deal) to go independent.
Oh, and if you're a size 14 or 15, the price jumps up to $695. The brand also released sandals that cost $220.
The main Lonzo Ball shoe, the ZO2, costs $495. Unless you are sizes 14 & 15, then it's $695 a pair.

Athletes like Steph Curry have been roasted for shoes before many times, but the fact that Lonzo hasn't played a single game in the NBA -- the draft is still a month away -- created a feeding frenzy for Twitter. Most felt the design was decent (aside from being very similar to Kobe Bryant's signature shoes), but people went absolutely insane when they discovered the price.
Here are just a few of the countless reactions from Basketball Twitter.

Grant Hill should call Lonzo Ball and warn him of the dangers of foot injuries derailing a career by wearing a vastly inferior sneaker. https://t.co/1fC1pt7dUn

Look, it's great that the Balls are trying to empower athletes by taking the reins from traditional clothing companies. But $500? Come on, man!
