After having four games postponed because of COVID-19 protocols and 10 days off since they last played, the San Antonio Spurs will return to action on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, DeMar DeRozan, Derrick White and Rudy Gay are among six players who are still being held out because of protocols and that creates an interesting opportunity for NBA DFS players. Superstars with major scoring upside eat into your NBA daily Fantasy salary cap quickly, so finding affordable options in the NBA DFS player pool is always critical.

And with several lower-priced players expected to play heavy minutes for the Spurs on Wednesday, selecting the right players can give you solid production while freeing up needed funds. Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, LeBron James, Jayson Tatum and Karl-Anthony Towns are all expected to be in action on Wednesday as well, so figuring out which stars to target based on the matchups will also be a challenge. Before locking in any NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, be sure to see the NBA DFS advice, player rankings and top daily Fantasy basketball lineups from SportsLine's Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He's also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Wednesday, Feb. 24 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, Feb. 24

One of McClure's top NBA DFS picks for his Wednesday NBA daily Fantasy lineups is Spurs guard Lonnie Walker IV at $3,700 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel. Walker has averaged 10.8 points per game over 26.6 minutes per contest so far in 2020-21, but he should be taking on even more minutes and a larger scoring role on Wednesday with DeRozan, White and Gay all out of the lineup.

Walker hadn't played more than 30 minutes in a game since Jan. 27 prior to the four postponements, but when he has he's averaged 16.2 points and shot 44.7 percent from the 3-point line. Walker should have an excellent chance of seeing 30 minutes or more with the San Antonio rotation shortened considerably and that could easily lead to 12-15 shots on Wednesday night. He's a complete steal at this price point, so lock him in your NBA DFS lineups and look for a big return on Wednesday.

Part of McClure's optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Spurs guard Dejounte Murray at $7,400 on DraftKings and $7,500 on FanDuel. The Spurs are coming off a 10-day layoff where they had four games postponed because of COVID-19 protocols and are expected to be without six players on Wednesday, but Murray should be in the lineup.

When we last saw the 24-year-old, he had 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and two steals without a turnover in a win over the Hornets. He's now averaging 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game this season and he'll have to carry a heavy scoring load with DeRozan and White likely to be held out of action against the Thunder on Wednesday.
