Klay Thompson makes deep 3 in Game 5
Klay Thompson fires from deep. ABC

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson has been a revelation in the postseason, so we might as well call it the Klayoffs. Thompson stepped up as the Warriors' No. 1 option when Stephen Curry was injured in the first two rounds, and he has been one of the best wing defenders in the league the entire time. With an opportunity to close out the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday, Thompson splashed in 26 points on 8-for-12 shooting in the first half alone.

True to form, 18 of those 26 points came from behind the arc. Here are all six of those 3-pointers, including an absurd 31-footer over Tristan Thompson:

Without suspended Draymond Green, Golden State needed someone to do some extra playmaking. Thompson has clearly welcomed that opportunity.

The bad news: The Warriors are not dominating as a result. At halftime, the game was tied at 61. LeBron James has almost matched Thompson by scoring 25 first-half points.
