The dust is starting to settle on deadline day. At this point it doesn't seem like any more trades will be reported.
NBA trade deadline results: Kyle Lowry stays with Raptors; Heat get Victor Oladipo; Nuggets land Aaron Gordon
We follow every move around the league ahead of the 2021 trade deadline
The 2021 NBA trade deadline has passed and there were a flurry of deals made around the league that could change how the rest of the season shakes out. The biggest surprise of the day was Toronto Raptors star guard Kyle Lowry not getting dealt, after it was expected he would be traded to a contending team. While that domino never fell, though, that didn't stop other teams from being active at the deadline.
Highlighting the deadline deals were the Heat trading for Houston guard Victor Oladipo right as the deadline passed, while the Orlando Magic shipped versatile big man Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls for Otto Porter Jr., Wendell Carter Jr. and two first-round picks. The Celtics got Evan Fournier to add some bench scoring, while Orlando completed its moves by shipping off Aaron Gordon to the Nuggets.

Boston trades Theis
From our SportsLine data guru Stephen Oh on his latest Boston sims following Thursday's trade: The Celtics got slightly worse after trading Theis for Mo Wagner.

LaMarcus Aldridge is now finalizing a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs after the Spurs failed to find a trade partner for the big man, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Oladipo does help Miami
From our SportsLine data guru Stephen Oh: Despite low shooting percentages, the sims do have Oladipo helping Miami assuming his defensive impact is there and he is not a high volume shooter.

Trades are still rolling in.. The Boston Celtics are trading center Daniel Theis to the Chicago Bulls for Mo Wagner, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Kyle Lowry will be staying put in Toronto. The Raptors don't get anything for the veteran guard, who will be an unrestricted free agent after the season.
We got a big trade at the buzzer! The Houston Rockets are trading guard Victor Oladipo to the Miami Heat, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Andre Drummond will work on a buyout after the Cavs failed to find a trade partner for the big man, according to Yahoo's Chris Haynes.
It's officially 3 p.m. But remember, trade news can still trickle in after the deadline. Keep an eye out.
JJ Redick could be on his way to Dallas. That gives the Mavs a shooter and veteran presence in the locker room.
The New Orleans Pelicans won't be trading Lonzo Ball, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Ball is set for unrestricted free agency after the season.
Raptors have cleared two roster spots, which could indicate a move could be imminent...
Five minutes left until the deadline!
Raptors make a trade, but ...
Not quite the Raptors trade that everyone is waiting for. https://twitter.com/wojespn/st...
Feels like the Lowry deal is going to happen at the buzzer, just a matter of which team is willing to meet their asking price.
Ramona Shelburne just mentioned on ESPN that the Warriors are fielding offers for Kelly Oubre Jr. leading up to the deadline.
Raptors waiting until the last minute to make a Lowry move makes sense. Might as well make teams sweat and try to get the best offer possible. But with Lowry being 35 and on the last year of his deal, it's fair to wonder how much any team would really be willing to give up for him. We'll find out shortly.
Windhorst added that Philadelphia's offer to Toronto for Lowry likely included rookie guard Tyrese Maxey and a first round pick.
Rondo trade value
From our SportsLine data guru Stephen Oh: Rondo does not improve the Clippers on the simulations, but this probably has a lot more to do with how the sims don't properly account for "playoff Rondo" and the clear, tangible and intangible, value he seems to deliver in the playoffs. Based purely on the statistical impact in simulations neither team's outlooks changes significantly.

Brian Windhorst just said on ESPN that the Raptors are currently weighing all of the options that they've received for Kyle Lowry. Lakers, Heat, and Sixers were the three teams mentioned, as has been the case over the past 24 hours or so.
20 minutes left until the deadline. A flurry of trades could come down before 3 p.m. Also remember, sometimes trades don't get reported right away. Some could still come in after the deadline.
Lou Williams played for the Hawks from 2012 to 2014. He'll now be back in Atlanta on a Hawks team that currently sits seventh in the East with a 22-22 record.
The Clippers have been searching for a Rondo-type of player for the pat two seasons. Comes at a pretty big cost though giving up Lou Williams AND picks.
None of the Magic 'stars' are having a huge impact
SportsLine analytics guru Stephen Oh says Chicago only slightly improved with Vucevic. Boston actually slipped slightly with Fournier and now Aaron Gordon isn't helping Denver very much. I guess there's a reason why Orlando is just 15-29 in the East.
