Nets' Paul Pierce out 2-4 weeks with broken hand
Paul Pierce will miss 2-4 weeks because of a broken hand, the Nets announced.
As if being 5-12 while dealing with a number of injuries wasn't bad enough, the Nets have been bit again.
The team announced Monday that forward Paul Pierce will miss 2-4 weeks because of a broken hand (officially titled a "non-displaced fracture of third metacarpal in right hand"). The injury occurred against the Rockets Nov. 29.
Pierce has struggled quite a bit this season, scoring just 12.4 points with 4.9 rebounds while shooting well under 40 percent from the field. But the Nets have had so many issues to start the season already, and they also need Pierce to play his way into form. Now it's a setback and he'll have to postpone it.
