New 'Pierre the Pelican' unveiled after facial reconstruction surgery
Pierre the Pelican was extremely horrifying, and the Pelicans realized it, coming up with a story that he hurt his face and had to get a makeover. Much better.

Much, much better. But did they overcompensate?
The Pelicans unveiled the remade version of thir mascot Pierre, trying to right the original wrong that was his horrifying appearance.
The story they told was that Pierre injured his beak in a pickup game with othr mascots, and after facial reconstruction surgery, he came out with a new look.
They went from nightmare hellbird to cutesy and cuddly. Which is probably wise, since you know, mascots are kind of for the kids.
The new one is better, but still, I can't get over on thing: Who ever thought the first one was a good idea? Who saw that and thought, "Yep, that's perfect"?
