Paul George declines invite to dunk contest
Pacers star won't participate in dunk contest.
It's a shame since he's one of the most athletic and fun dunkers out there, but Paul George will not participate in this year's Slam Dunk Contest.
On Saturday night, George said that he declined an invitation by the league to compete in this year's Slam Dunk Contest in New Orleans.
It's a shame. George's last appearance was brutally underrated.
The fact that few people understand the Tron reference here should not take away from how good it was. The most brutal part of George's decision is that he announced it... and thn went out and did this.
George joins Dwight Howard among former participants to decide not to enter this year. It's looking like yet another field of players not known to casual fans, trying to stir up interest in an event that may have outlived the amount of interest in it. Would you rather see the dunk contest, or Blake Griffin or George in-game?
