Report: Clippers agree to one-year deal with center Ryan Hollins

The Clippers, oddly, were preoccupied with improving their backcourt this summer, eventually adding J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley. They didn't do hardly anything to beef up their frontcourt depth, despite limitations for DeAndre Jordan, particularly in the fourth quarter. So they pretty much had to go back to what they had last year, which is in part what they did Sunday.

Yahoo reports that the Clippers signed center Ryan Hollins to a one-year deal. Hollins averaged three points and two rebounds in just 11 minutes per game last season. Hollins did have a few moments, though, and as backup bigs go, he's fine. He's got size, can give the foul, and won't hurt you too much. It's an OK signing, but you wonder if the Clippers wouldn't have done well to make more upgrades down low, despite being top heavy with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
