Report: Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer to step down from role as president
Budenholzer has been serving as both head coach and president of basketball operations since coming to Atlanta in 2013
There have been plenty of changes in Atlanta over recent years, and it appears that this offseason will be no different. According to a report from The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer will be stepping down from his role as president of basketball operations.
In addition, GM Wes Wilcox, who was rumored to have been let go on Wednesday, will stay with the front office, per Wojnarowski's report.

It's interesting to see some shakeup in the team's front office with the Hawks seemingly at a fork in the road this offseason. Paul Millsap looks likely to opt out of the final year of his contract this summer, and the Hawks will have plenty of competition to try and re-sign him.
If they don't bring him back, they'll essentially be forced into a rebuild, as every member of the 2014-15 team that won 60 games and went to the Eastern Conference Finals will be gone.
They would, however, still have Dwight Howard in town, who is reportedly unhappy in Atlanta, just one year into his three-year, $70 million deal. Unfortunately, that wouldn't be such an easy contract to move, especially with Howard on the downside of his career. But if they aren't able to re-sign Millsap, you have to imagine they'll at least try to ship Howard out of town and go full-on into the rebuild.
As of right now, however, there's not much more than speculation in Atlanta.
