Welcome to the NBA's version of "Wife Swap."
Back in August, the Utah Jazz hired San Antonio Spurs assistant GM Dennis Lindsey as their new GM.
On Saturday, Yahoo Sports reports that the Spurs have returned the favor, hiring Jazz assistant coach Scott Layden as Lindsey's replacement.
No word yet on whether Lindsey will rent out his house to Layden or vice versa.
Layden's career as a coach and executive dates back to the early 1980s, and includes stints as the head of basketball operations for the Jazz (1992-1999) and the GM of the New York Knicks (from 1999-2003). He joins a heralded Spurs basketball operations department -- led by GM R.C. Buford and coach Gregg Popovich -- that has won four NBA titles in the past 13 seasons.
In addition to Lindsey's departure, the Spurs, considered one of the NBA's model franchises, also lost executive Danny Ferry this summer, who accepted the Atlanta Hawks' GM job back in June.
