After LeBron James went home to Cleveland, the Rockets are swooping in to get free agent Chris Bosh to add to their core.
Ken Berger of CBSSports.com reports:
NBA free agency starts now. Wheels in motion for deals and signings, starting with Chris Bosh and Rockets' cap-clearing deals.— Ken Berger (@KBergCBS) July 11, 2014
Once room is cleared in Houston for Chris Bosh, multiple executives believe that is the first LeBron domino to fall.— Ken Berger (@KBergCBS) July 11, 2014
Then, Rockets can (and almost certainly will) match

Yahoo Sports and ESPN report:
The dominos will start to fall now. Houston is moving quickly to complete a deal for Jeremy Lin, clear space and try to sign Chris Bosh.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) July 11, 2014
Source close to situation says Rockets believe they will have commitment "soon" for Chris Bosh to come to Houston— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 11, 2014
Chris Bosh is still deciding on whether or not to head for Houston, I'm told.— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) July 11, 2014
Houston is reportedly offering Bosh a max $88 million contract and the chance to contend for a title next to Dwight Howard, James Harden, Chandler Parsons (if they match his offer sheet from Dallas, and now Bosh. He helps them specifically with their defensive scheme and gives them a floor-spacer to clear room for Howard inside.
With the addition of Chris Bosh, the Rockets would move into legitimate title contention. But they have to move fast. They have to clear space for Bosh by trading Omer Asik in a complicated trade with the Pelicans and move Jeremy Lin in a reported move to Philadelphia and do so by Sunday night at 12 a.m. ET Monday morning to avoid losing Parsons.
Houston has caught a huge break with James going to Cleveland. Now they have to capitalize.
