The Denver Nuggets have reached a contract agreement with point guard Erick Green, as first reported by Nikos Varlas of EuroHoops. The deal will be for three years, per Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski

Green was acquired by the Nuggets at last year's draft, when he was taken No. 46 overall. He spent last season in Italy, playing for Siena. The score-first point guard earned his roster spot by averaging 16.6 points per game in summer league this month.

Barring any major trades or injuries, Green will be the clear third point guard in Denver behind Ty Lawson and Nate Robinson. The 23-year-old former Virginia Tech Hokie has a chance to be a solid backup down the road, and the Nuggets were wise to invest in his development for three seasons.
