On his personal blog, Spurs guard Manu Ginobili announced he will return for his 15th NBA season at age 39. Ginobili said he feels better health-wise than he has in years and had planned to come back for some time. You do wonder if this will be the last run for him, however, as his contract expires after this season.

Ginobii averaged the fewest minutes of his career (19.6) last year, averaging 9.6 points and 3.1 assists per game but shot 45 percent from the field. He was still surprisingly effective, especially for his age. In fact:

Ginobili's one of only three players to be as productive as he was per 100 possessions in points, rebounds and assists at age 37 or older, the other two being Michael Jordan and Sam Cassell. He's clearly got some gas left in the tank. Still, he was a turnover machine last year and clearly lost a step defensively. He's just a role player for the Spurs at this point, but that doesn't mean he can't help them in select situations.

Tim Duncan has yet to make a decision as to his future, but is expected to return for yet another season in 2016-2017 as well.
