Despite losing to the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals, Kevin Durant had no animosity toward his opponent. In fact, Durant and the rest of the Thunder congratulated the Warriors for their victory, shaking hands and embracing each other before departing the court.

Among those postgame exchanges was one involving Durant and Steph Curry. While they embraced, the MVP whispered something into the Thunder All-Star's ear. Curry's words were sympathetic yet while also recognizing the greatness that just occurred between the two teams.

From Marcus Thompson of the San Jose Mercury News:

"This is what it's all about," Curry said he whispered to Durant. "This is what we play for. Those battles, those moments people will remember for a long time."

Curry is absolutely right. The 2016 Western Conference finals will never be forgotten, considering that the best regular-season team of all-time nearly lost, but instead became the 10th team in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 deficit. The Thunder put up quite the fight and their performance shouldn't be overlooked.

Curry certainly is not.
