Stephen Curry's pregame shooting routine has almost reached mythical status. Fans have been arriving hours early just to soak in Curry's warmup, which includes effortless halfcourt makes and a fast-paced ball handling drill. While fans take great delight in Curry's warmup, he of course does it to get physically and mentally ready for games. Much like his pregame ritutal with his wife Ayesha.
In an interview with Parents magazine, Steph and Ayesha talked about their matching tattoos and how before Warriors games, they both have a ritual that is centered around their identical ink.
"We have matching tattoos," Curry tells Parents magazine. "This signifies the past is behind us and the future is in front of us, so we stay in the middle, in the moment. I smack my tattoo and she does the same."
Ayesha says the ritual is also a reminder for Curry to have fun in the game, because "his job should be fun." And judging by how Curry usually plays, it's fair to say that gentle reminder from his wife to have fun carries over to his game.
