VIDEO: A kid asked Dwyane Wade why he flops
Heat guard threatens to kick a kid out of basketball camp (jokingly) after being challenged on his theatrics.
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade has developed quite the reputation as a flopper in recent years. Every veteran player adds that trick to their bag, but Wade has been particularly suspect. So much so that in a series that featured Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, who are truly the Michaelangelo and Da Vinci of flopping, it was this Finals flop from Wade that got the most attention:
At a media appearance with wide receiver Brandon Marshall for a kids summer camp, Wade revealed that one of the campers actually asked him about it. Wade asked "Are you serious?" And yes, in fact, the kid was totally serious.
If Wade had tried to get the kid kicked out of camp he should have 1. fallen over as if shot by a high-powered rifle and 2. said he was going to the Spurs camp.
