VIDEO: Bosh hits the game-winning 3-pointer to lift Heat over Spurs
The Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs with a 3-pointer by Chris Bosh with 1.1 seconds left in the game.
No LeBron James. No Dwyane Wade. No problem against the San Antonio Spurs. Even without their two best players, the Miami Heat managed to go into San Antonio and eke out a victory over the team with the best record in the Western Conference.
After a huge stop by Udonis Haslem against Tim Duncan, the Heat rebounded and opted to take it the other way instead of calling a timeout to set up a play. Ray Allen brought the ball up the court and received a soft pick from Chris Bosh. Bosh popped out to the top of the 3-point line as Allen moved to his left. Tiago Splitter cut off Allen, and Danny Green continued to guard him. This left Duncan to guard both Haslem and Bosh.
As you can see in this screen shot below, after Allen stopped on the wing and Green and Splitter both flew out of position, Haslem dove to the basket, drawing Duncan just far enough away from Bosh to give him plenty of room to unleash the game-winning attempt.
Bosh knocked down the 3-pointer to give the Heat a two-point lead with 1.1 seconds left and the 88-86 victory. It was Bosh's third 3-pointer of the game. He finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
