Video: Carmelo Anthony injures left hand, out vs. Heat Thursday

Update Thursday, Dec. 6, 7:43 p.m.: Anthony is out vs. the Heat. Earlier Thursday, he had expressed a concern about ball-handling. Apparently that was a bigger issue than originally thought.



Carmelo Anthony suffered a laceration of his left hand in the closing minutes of the Knicks' 100-98 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night after diving out of bounds for a loose ball.

The New York Daily News reports Anthony will play Thursday night vs. the Miami Heat on the back-to-back. (So he won't be resting, unlike some teams.)



The Knicks later said it was only five stitches for Anthony, which is still quite a bit. But he should be good to go against Miami. We'll keep you updated Thursday on his status.
